Block 41
1920s ice warehouse with modern industrial aesthetic
History: Built in 1927, first as a garage for the Kennedy Wagon Company, then quickly taken over by the Ice Delivery Company as an ice warehouse. Renovated in 2017 by award-winning Graham Baba Architects, blending massive old-growth timber, board-formed concrete, and exposed structural steel with modern state-of-the-art systems.
