Fremont Abbey

Historic 1914 church building converted into a nonprofit arts center, hosting concerts, weddings, dance performances, literary events, and community gatherings across two restored event rooms.

History: Originally St. Paul's Lutheran Church, built in 1914. The nonprofit Abbey Arts began in 2005 producing small events, then renovated the building from 2006-2008 with seismic, design, environmental, and visual improvements. Nathan Marion served as the first Executive Director. Abbey Arts has grown to produce hundreds of events per year across multiple Seattle venues including Ballard Homestead, and hosts The Moth Seattle Slam and curated concert series.
